Mel's Hole

Mel had a farm near Ellensburg, Washington where he worked on his hobby of Native American plant remedies. In the back of the farm was a hole 12 feet in diameter that the local people had been throwing rubbish in as long as anyone could remember.

One day Mel dropped a fishing line in the hole. He didn't hit bottom so he let out more and more until he had about 15 miles of line in the hole, still without a bottom. So he called Art Bell's radio show.

The next day the government showed up and took the hole.

Mel's story went on through several of Art's shows and got even more fantastic with a second hole and a strange creature that lived there.

The tale of Mel's hole was, truth or trash, the best all - round story to air on the Art Bell show.
