Also the Schumann Resonance, a natural 7.8 Hz rhythm of the Earth, the obstruction of this, and its' harmonics, could be a major cause of modern disease. An expensive, and perhaps a bit off kilter commercial site, but the science rings true (pun intended).

Claims of anomalous lost history have been around for a long time - note the names Cairo, Illinois and Memphis, Tennessee. Many are clearly hoaxes, but some, like the Egyptian Burial Cave written on by David Hatcher Childress in the Grand Canyon of Arizona, The Kensington Runestone, and copper mines and smelting furnaces in the upper Midwest that seem to have supplied Bronze Age Europe, may have some substance.
The 3,500-year-old Celtic America's Stonehenge (archived link) is well documented. More recently the discovery of cocaine and tobacco in samples from numerous Egyptian mummies have rekindled the arguments. There is evidence that an Irish monk, Saint Brendan, sailed to Newfoundland in the 6th century AD.
Chinese exploration of North America may be documented in the Shan Hai King, a book the Chinese claim to have been written in 2205 B.C.E, and the explorer Zheng He may have arrived 50 years before Columbus in ships up to 600 feet long. Zheng He article (archived).
Abubakari, king of the vast African empire in what is now Mali sailed on a journey West with 2000 ships of a variety of sizes in 1311 AD. Article
A Welsh prince, Madoc ab Owain Gwyneddhttp, in 1170 left his country sailing west. He returned with stories of a beautiful land he had found, gathered settlers and sailed off again. There is evidence that his group lived in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee only to be wiped out by smallpox in Missouri in the late 1830's. An amazing story of the Mandan tribe.
Mounds of North America and a lot more possible evidence is at Sparky's American Epigraphy alternative prehistory site.
"Exploration in Texas" is an online book tracing many claims of pre-Columbian visitors to America written by a scholar who is surprisingly open minded. The different levels of evidence are examined and sifted into shades of gray. The author thinks many of the stories have roots in fact, it is just not clear which ones. An excellent overview, not as Texas-centered as the title. www.texancultures.utsa.edu/publications/exploration/exploration.htm
The residents of America themselves had many tales of visitors from over the oceans, most notably the White god Quetzalcoatl.
The many bits of evidence point to the possibility that America's existence was known to a select few in the "old world" for many centuries and the information was kept secret, perhaps to protect the commercial value of their sources for goods.
Conventional science always seems to resist changing its views and ancient communication between America and the Mediterranean would be a severe shock to the system. . .

Daniel Drasin
"Seeing with humility, curiosity and fresh eyes was once the main point of science. ... (science) has increasingly preoccupied itself with disconnected facts in a spiritual, psychological, social and ecological vacuum. Virtually gone from the scene is the philosopher scientist, to whom meaning and context were once the very fabric of a multi-level universe. Today's mainstream science tends, instead, to deny or disregard entire domains of reality, and satisfies itself with reducing all of life and consciousness to a dead physics."

Drop City
An early hippie commune in Colorado, some of the first explorations of different ways for humans to interact took place here... Take off the bonds of society, mix in a lot of art and acid and see who we really are...
Sadly the Drop City site has been stripped of it's beautiful domes made of wooden ribs and multi colored scavenged car tops and the name has been usurped by T C Boyle for a novel about hippies that only exist in his mind.
Books: Drop City by Peter Rabbit (a short, wonderful, close to the moment account, long out of print)
_ _ Memories of Drop City: Adventures in the Counterculture of the 1960s by John Curl. Written after the events this is a loving portrait of some of the roots of social change in the '60s. Powerful magic in that the participants are shown as rather ordinary people. Highly recommended.
apparently out of print, here is the archive of the chapters:
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4
Chapter 5 Chapter 6 Chapter 7 (archived links)
John Curl's current website promotes his poetry: red-coral.net
Sample from John Curl - "Memories":
"Kugo growled and lit another joint. "All I want is a full belly and some good reefer."
(that's) "Because you're a highly advanced soul. Not everybody is at your level yet. And won't be if the people who run this society have their way. They see people like you as a threat."
         "To what?"
"This is the richest country in the world, there'd be plenty for everybody, if only they'd share it. But this society falsifies scarcity to get people like us to clean the toilets of the world for a few dimes.""

Another Photo: The triple-dome community center at Drop City, called The Complex.
The Farm, a vibrant commune in Tennessee, gives a history of Hippie communes including a section on Drop City
From the Farm: "As Gene Bernofsky (a Drop City founder) puts it: 'It's important to be employed; work is important, but we felt that to be gainfully employed was a sucking of the soul and that a part of one of the purposes of the new civilization was to be employed, but not to be gainfully employed, so that each individual would be their own master. We idealistically believed that if we were true to that principle, that if we did nongainful work, that the cosmic forces would take note of this and would supply us with the necessities of survival.' ...
Drop City had raised the flag of the city in the wilderness and became a defiant center of rejection of the culture of Babylon."

The Dropa Stones
More than 700 stones somewhat resembling phonograph records have been found in an area of central Asia between Tibet and Mongolia. Are these stones evidence of an ancient Alien encounter?
It is essentially impossible for a single researcher to have translated an alien language without any Rosetta Stone-like clues, so that portion of the story is either incomplete or false. Yet there is a lot here not easily put aside.

Dumpster Diving
It is simply criminal what America throws away - visit your local dump and see for yourself. And yet "thrown away" stuff doesn't vanish - it is trucked to big holes in the ground and covered over with dirt - to be a problem for future generations.
Dumpster Diving is practiced for fun and sustenance by many. Some consider it to be a spiritual experience.
"Our story then, is how dumpster diving has played a part in community building amongst the riff raff in our town... There were but two rules: 1) No meetings. This was mainly to avoid power struggles, boredom and inaction. There would be less talk and more dumpster. 2) No iceberg lettuce and other such schwag. We wanted quality goods, organic produce preferred, especially avocados and mangos. ...
Some of us realized that depending on society to be wasteful was not sustainable" ...
Quote from article: www.earthfirstjournal.org/
how many bags of trash do you take out every week? One? Two? More? OK now imagine that multiplied by 52 (weeks). Got it? Now mash it down a bit and cover it with dirt. Is it still there?
Christopher P. Dunn
Chris Dunn is a professional engineer who has carried out precision measurements on Egyptian monuments. He found in the ancient stonecutting accuracy similar to that of modern eyeglass lenses and complex machined forms difficult or impossible to duplicate today.
"Even the concept of this kind of precision does not occur to an artisan unless there is no other means of accomplishing what the artifact is intended to do.... (the 80 ton granite boxes of) the Serapeum would be extremely difficult to produce today. Their smooth flat surfaces, orthogonal perfection and incredibly small inside corner radii that I have inspected with modern precision straight edges, squares and radius gages, leave me in awe." - Quotes from website
