- Jeffrey Bada Ph.D.
- Exobiology. Dr Bada is studying the conditions under which life formed on Earth and extrapolating it to Mars and elsewhere. Did Earth's carbon, including oil deposits, arrive from space?
- Web site: exobio.ucsd.edu/bada.htm

- Robert Bauval
- Bauval's primary insight is the apparent correlation of the positions of the three main Giza pyramids with the belt stars of the constellation Orion. Orion was identified with the god Osiris, central to funeral rituals. Indeed one of the small passages in the Great Pyramid is aligned with Orion (although it changes direction several times). However correlation with the stars has not been found elsewhere in Egypt. (Maya cities in Central America were laid out mirroring the heavens, each city representing a star to whom prayers were sent to prevent the end of the world).

- Art Bell
- Art brought serious investigation of paranormal phenomena to a mainstream radio audience with his Coast to Coast AM (25 hours per week, 500 stations) and Dreamland shows, and was among the first to use a web site as an important part of a radio show. Coast to Coast's guests covered a wide range of topics and showed a high level of expertise. Without overtly looking for it Art Bell touched the spiritual in everything. His show greatly influenced this website.
- Art is back on the air Saturday and Sunday 10 PM to 2 AM Pacific time, and is also putting his attention into his (and Ramona's) local radio station KNYE: www.knye.com.
- Art's old website - www.artbell.com - is now offline, here are some gems from the archive: December 22, 1996, December 11, 1998, August 31, 2002.

- "How to Tell if a Dogma is Friendly:
-
In the wake of that recent vicious dogma bite that led to an unfortunate fatal karma crash, people are asking all kinds of questions: Why do we let killer dogmas run free? How do we deal with rabid dogmas? Can formerly-vicious dogmas be trained to sit, stay -- and most importantly, to heal?" quote from website

- Bible out takes:
- Hundreds of years after Jesus' death the Catholic hierarchy
sifted through the multitude of texts circulating among the diverse churches
and chose those that would become the New Testament. Some say it was not
an unbiased choice. The unlucky texts were banned and many are lost or unknown.
- The Catholic position on development of the New Testament does not inspire confidence and the historic view is that much of what is presented by the Church as Holy Scripture is unreliable, at best.
- For those who believe what they are told that is fine, but for those who look further there are a number of interesting options "beyond the box", books that the Pope did not want us to read.
-
What we now have is a fascinating mixture of wild speculation and fantasy, coherent
possible first hand accounts, and scattered bits of what sure sounds like
Jesus. It isn't light reading but it's manageable.
-
The Gospel of Thomas
- The disciple Thomas was a lawyer so it is credible that he was literate
and would write. This is the best known of the bible bootlegs- a lot of scholars
believe it valid.
- The Book of Thomas the Contender.
- It seems this was written by the same Thomas as the Gospel of Thomas (contender means lawyer?) and later someone
with an extreme paranoia mixed predictions of great woe into the text. This is common - if an unknown writer wanted to make a point it was often expedient to put those words into a respected authority's mouth.
- A big Thomas site including the Contender: www.gnosis.org/naghamm/nhl_thomas.htm.

- The beautiful Gospel of Mary Magdalene.
- Quote: "(27) That is why the Good came into your midst, to the essence of every nature in order to restore it to its root."
- Gospel of Mary: www.gnosis.org/library/marygosp.htm
- The Gospel of James
- James was the brother (some say first cousin) of Jesus, leader of the Jerusalem church and frequent opponent of Paul who had taken control of much of Christ's legacy. It is not surprising the Roman Church would suppress a work by James, particularly one that appears to include a first hand account by Joseph himself. This may be fiction, may be true, or may be part true. Interesting. www.gnosis.org/library/gosjames.htm
- The Gnostic Society online Library (referenced above) has a wide collection of ancient texts, including Old and New Testament apocrypha, Hermetic and Alchemical writings and the Dead Sea Scrolls.
- With all the texts floating around, true and false, it is perhaps notable that no document claims to be written by Jesus' own hand. The Bible records that He read from the Scriptures so why didn't He write? (Buddha didn't write anything either)

- Nazarenus
- A re-creation of a possible lost drama of the trial and death of Jesus by the Roman playwright Seneca, written soon after the events and perhaps a source for the Bible accounts. While the existence of such a play is speculation, there is much to think on here. www.nazarenus.com/0-1-contents.htm
- The Dead Sea Scrolls
- A group of hundreds of manuscripts found in Palestine that document the Jewish writings of a monastic Jewish sect known as the Essenes. Very little is understood about these people who hid these texts shortly after the time of Christ, and who shared many ideas with him. There is speculation that Jesus, or Mary was a member of this group.
- Copies of Old Testament works were found, along with many other previously unknown books. Jesus is not specifically mentioned but a figure known as the Teacher of Righteousness has many similarities (and some major differences). It is possible that what the church promotes as the history of Jesus is a mixture of several traditions.

- Al Bielek
- The Philadelphia Experiment and the Montauk project were some of the most dramatic and (if true) most revealing stories ever told.
- It is claimed that during World War II the Navy asked Nikola Tesla to design equipment that would make a ship invisible. Although Tesla eventually resigned from the project, believing it too dangerous, it succeeded, with major unexpected consequences. Al Bielek's story is fantastic, with time warps and soul splicing all in the hands of the US government, yet there are others who back up his claims and his science cannot be easily dismissed. This is one wild ride. Put it in the question box.
- Website: www.bielek.com
- Al Bielek Interview: www.freezone.org
- When ever a story appears that pushes beyond the limits of accepted belief, others jump in to insist that it is not true. The story told by Al Bielek is so far from the norm that skepticism is clearly needed. Here is the other side: www.bielek-debunked.com/
- Preston Nichols
- Has the US Government created an extensive time travel project that has operated for decades and that is a danger to the world?

- Bigfoot / Sasquatch
- Have small groups of Neanderthals or other presumed lost branches of the human evolutionary tree managed to survive and hide in the wildest parts of the planet? More important, for the answer to that is apparently yes, are these creatures, or some of these species, our equals? Added to the Whales and Dolphins, its getting harder and harder to find justification for the claim of this being "our" planet to destroy as we please. Nature seems to hide some of her treasures, hedging her bets, perhaps.

They also research "alternative methods to correct brain traumas" just in case.
- AARF Website: www.trueseekers.org/
- The most popular explanation for Bigfoot is that they are descendants of Gigantopithecus, a 800 - 1200 pound ape (with a very large brain) that lived from about one million to 100,000 years ago and is believed to be extinct. A vegetarian, Gigantopithecus was twice the size of modern gorillas. Gigantopithecus overview.

- Shabari Bird and Christopher Bird
- The basic energy(s) of life and how basic it is to our wellness. The Birds studied some of the unknown geniuses of science, such as Royal Raymond Rife, Nikola Tesla, and Wilhelm Reich as well as doing their own research. The Birds are the folks who told the story of a researcher attaching a lie detector to a plant and measuring it's (dramatic) reaction to a cabbage being cut up. The plant even reacted strongly when the 'cabbage killer' came in the room later on.

- The Bock Saga
- Very ancient song cycle preserved by the Boch family of North East Finland.
- It is oral history that will fill the gaps in our past, everything that has happened in the hundreds of thousands of years of "Homo Sapiens" before the written word, which began five or six thousand years ago.
- Here, then, is the story from the Northlands, of a people in a small area of Finland protected by warm water currents during the Ice Age and ancestors of much of Europe.
- "In the ROT (root) Ring, alphabet / Sound System ... each individual sound is fraught with meaning and integral to an ever-developing network of associations, naturally crystallizing into the logic patterns underlying the various forms of human culture of which we have knowledge today." quote from website
- Linguists speculate a common language in humanity's forgotten past, giving some truth to the story of the tower of Babel. Such a language may be more pure, more primal, more meaningful - with each sound having clear inherent meaning, then blended with others to form ideas.
- Ior Bock can speak the ancient tongue and believes the sounds of the Saga his family has preserved for so long are its most important teaching.

- The Brain
- It is amazing how little popular knowledge there is about this. There are three main brains: The "reptilian" brain, home of basic instincts, including the spinal chord and a small core brain at it's top. This keeps the body alive and is home to the basic impulses of survival. The mammal brain (limbic system) involves mood, memory, and hormones. This is wrapped around the reptile brain. The neocortex is wrapped around the limbic system and contains two hemispheres. Only primates have this brain, and humans have larger ones. The neocortex concerns planning, social interactions, logic and language.

- Near Death Experience
- A former government special operations killer and all round bad guy, Dannion was struck by lightning and was clinically dead. What happened during that time changed him deeply. He now works with dying people, easing the transition, and is redefining how we view the death experience.
- "Somewhere between an ungrounded spiritual escapism based on denial, and a narcissistic preoccupation with

purposefully envision a brave new world based on the
deepest truth of our being..." quote from web site

- Butterfly (Julia Hill)
- Tree Sitter. Butterfly spent over a year 180 feet up in an old growth Redwood tree in California, putting her life between the tree and those who wanted to kill it. She eventually was able to buy a pardon for the tree (Luna) with the advance from her book.
- Butterfly was cute and well spoken and got a lot of press but the war goes on, with other tree sitter stories far more grim.
- The timber industry, already having destroyed 97% of our original native forests, continues to covet the rest. Nobody is saying that we don't need lumber, but sustainable and compassionate forest management and the full protection of the tiny sliver of irreplaceable Ancient Forest that remains are essential for all on earth - including those who make their living in forestry.
